Chrysten Perry is a Partner in Macleod Dixon's Calgary office and is Head of the Energy Practice Group. Chrysten focuses on petroleum and natural gas projects and transactions, including negotiating and drafting structure documents (joint ventures, ownership arrangements, partnerships), development agreements (conventional and oil sands) and dealing with CO2 projects, coal bed methane matters, royalty and operational issues, pipeline projects and PSC issues. Chrysten also has extensive experience with the purchase and sale of oil and gas assets, including the preparation of data rooms, bidding documents, due diligence, title opinions and confidentiality matters. Her advice is frequently sought in connection with the strategic/business law aspects of oil and gas transactions. She has advised clients with respect to domestic and international operations in jurisdictions such as Western Canada, Colombia, the Canadian Arctic and East Coast, Trinidad, Australia, New Zealand, the North Sea, Indonesia and Cyprus and conducted the divestiture activities for clients with assets in these jurisdictions.
